Does the Society cover all the arts?
The Lichfield Society of Artists (LSA) is focused on visual arts and not performing arts.
Do I have to be a member to attend the events or groups?
Some groups and workshops do require you to be a member. If you're thinking of joining us then the best option is to come along to a Demonstration Evening. You can attend as a guest to see what we do and who we are for a small fee.
What if there are no events or groups that cover my particular art interest?
If there is enough interest in a partiular artistic activity, we will see if a new event or group can be set up. It may even be that we ask you to help set it up or even lead it.
Are new members allowed a say in the running of the LSA?
Absolutely. Any member, new or old, is welcome to join the committee for a direct input into the running and development of the LSA.
When does the membership year start?
Our membership year starts with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the third week of March.
What if I join in January, February or early March?
If this case your membership will run until the AGM the following year.
What if I join later in the calender year, such as in December?
If this case your membership will only run until the next AGM in March.
Can I promote my artwork on the LSA website?
Yes. We have a Member Profle page where members tell a little about themselves and show some of their artwork. Contact details allow for direct contact with the artist. Having an entry on the Profile page is voluntary and free.
